About the Artist

In my artistic journey, I find myself drawn to the enchanting world of flora and nature. Through my work, I strive to capture the delicate beauty and intricate wonders that surround us, from the graceful drape of flower petals to the endless textures of mushrooms and the overall richness of nature’s complexity.

My exploration of these natural elements takes shape through a rich tapestry of mediums, each chosen with care to best fit each project. Fibrous materials such as wool, yarn, thread, velvet, and organza lend themselves to the creation of tactile and inviting pieces. These materials, with their inherent softness and flexibility, allow me to evoke the delicate beauty of petals, the lushness of foliage, and the intricate patterns found in nature. In contrast, I also experiment with industrial materials which speak to the resilience of the natural world, reminding us of the ever-present interplay between hard and soft, natural vs man made, and construction vs deconstruction.

In addition to my explorations in various mediums and materials, I am deeply engaged in the realm of surface design as it allows me to combine my handiwork with digital media. Utilizing hand-made drawings and paintings, as well as found and collected materials, I create digital pattern designs that reflect the timeless beauty of flora and nature. These pattern designs serve as the foundation for a diverse range of products, spanning interiors, fashion, hospitality markets, and stationary items. With each collection, I strive to evoke a sense of uniqueness and thoughtful design, considering how each pattern might be best utilized within its intended market.

All in all, my art is a celebration of the natural world and an invitation to pause, observe, and appreciate the beauty that exists all around us. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to reconnect with nature, to find peace in its presence, and to marvel at its infinite wonders.
